Warranty applies Only to Uninstalled Panels. Size up your CCOT panel and if something does not look correct, then call CCOT to discuss concern. Once CCOT panel has been cut, modified or in any way changed from how it was shipped from CCOT to you, then "Warranty" is void. If Customer changes original panel in any way, then there are no returns, refunds or compensation of any type including time and labor.
Any body panel by any Maker (Toyota, Ford, GM, etc.) may require shaping, trimming or hole slotting to be installed. For example, our Toyota factory fenders require slotting to be mounted squarely. Experienced body men all know that individual body panels require shaping and being worked into place (especially patch panels because they may not start and stop at a folded seam-line). Hobbyists and amateur body men need to be aware that any body panel has to be worked into place.
CCOT patch panels are designed to cover the most common areas of rust. Some vehicles, however, have larger areas of rust than the norm. Don't cut away your original body panel larger than CCOT's patch panel will cover, unless you intend to patch in the gap(s). Don't cut away your original panel(s)until CCOT panel(s) arrives. Overlay new panel to old panel and use as a template for area to be remove.
CCOT advises that an experienced body technician at a reputable body facility install CCOT body panels. CCOT has been building quality body panel since 1989 and has not had a single body panel returned for fit from a professional body shop.
Thanks, CCOT
