This is the Blue Mule.

A mostly stock '71 FJ40, repainted with the original Horizontal Blue color. It took lots of parts from CCOT, eBay, etc., and lots of advice from the CCOT bulletin board to restore him. The picture was taken during Mule's maiden offroad trip at Praire City O.H.V. Park in Folsom, CA (I work for CA State Parks).

To quote Toyota: "This is not a car... its a beautifully functional 4-wheel drive machine." How true it is.
