    We have just installed a 5-speed kit into an '85 FJ-60... Now we know first hand all parts needed for quality 5-Speed Conversion...

    This (H55F) 5-Speed conversion is the SWEETEST add
    we've ever experienced on a 60! We should have
    started upgrading 60s with 5-Speed conversions years ago...

    5-Speed Performance / Feel: 1st gear is lower than stock... 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears seem stock... then 5th gear really takes off for great highway speed at lo RPMs... Running 31" tires in 5th gear results are as follows...
  • In 5th Gear...65 mph 2400 rpm, 70 mph 2600 rpm, 75 mph 2750 rpm!

  • We have not had time yet to try 5-Speed Conversion on FJ40... We worked on the FJ60 conversion first... The FJ40 5-Speed conversion appears to require modification of Drive Shaft Lengths (rear driveline shortened & front lengthened) and fits split transfer case models... Thanks, CCOT

    It's more expensive to ship your 5-Speed to a residential location because it requires a special delivery truck (fitted with "Lift Gate") to off load transmission.

    5-Speed on pallet weighs approx. 175 lbs.

    Commercial or Industrial delivery locations are preferred by Truckers because there is typically assistance (Forklift or Helpers) with off loading transmission and lift gate truck is not required.
